Pentagon and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) officials tell it, when a group of Taliban (fearless warriors) began an attack on the US Embassy and ISAF headquarters in the heart of Kabul, the Afghan security reacted “quickly” with a “strong response”.So why did it take 20 hours to root out seven Taliban? Afghan Police could be seen clapping their hands in celebration on the building's roof, while others carried the mangled bodies of six insurgents down flights of rough concrete stairs and piled them into the back of a waiting ambulance.US Special forces and Soldiers not dare to face fearless warriors so they send Afghan Police to clear the building. The main fight pitted seven insurgents armed with AK-47s, Rocket-propelled grenades and ordinary grenades against, US, British and Afghan Special Forces backed up by helicopter gunships and the world’s most sophisticated command and control system. The commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan on Wednesday acknowledged the Taliban gained a Psychological victory in a 20-hour assault focused on the U.S. Embassy, which left 27 police, civilians and insurgents dead. But he insisted the attack was not a sign of vulnerability in the Afghan capital. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the assault.
