Haqqani & Isphahani seeking US intervention to Escape

Both Haqqani & Isphahani are seeking US intervention to help him escape from Pakistan.
 Soon Lieberman & McCain will fly to Pakistan to save Haqqani.
Haqqani said he has been branded a “traitor” and a “Washington lackey”
Haqqani was forced to resign late last year after Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz claimed he had asked him to pass on a memo, on behalf of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, to the American government calling for their help to oust Islamabad’s military leadership.

US senators concerned for Husain Haqqani

Three leading US senators voiced concern over Pakistan’s treatment of its former envoy to Washington accused of crafting a controversial memo which has triggered a scandal.The statement from Republican senators John McCain and Mark Kirk as well as independent Senator Joe Lieberman voiced concern that Haqqani may be “becoming a political tool for revenge,” and urged Pakistan to resolve the issue swiftly.
“Like many in Washington, we are closely following ambassador Haqqani’s case. We urge Pakistani authorities to resolve this matter swiftly and consistent with civilian rule of law,” the senators urged.

SC rejects Haqqani plea in memo case

The Supreme court of Pakistan (SC) on Friday rejected the plea of  Pakistan’s former ambassador to United States Husain Haqqani on memogate case.
